I am in the process of creating some line-art patterns from my old designs/drawings. I completed one this afternoon.

It is simple abstract leaf design I created virtually when I first began, and I created the line art for it today.
I will be putting up a few of them as they are completed, on to my site for saving as a free pattern, that may be useful for practice or creating keepsake items for friends or family.

The one I created today is a design for a square coaster using an abstract leaf design. I made these way back, and, still own some and have used them daily for around ten years now.

Just L-Click the Image, then R-Click and use the - Save Image As - Option.
An early example pic next to it shows one way to shade it, but they can be shaded many ways and have colour added to them.

If you do save a copy, then I hope you enjoy burning it.

I will probably have a few more free patterns available as I start adding more to my files. Though of course not all my designs will be available for download ;p

No worries Don, hope they make for a nice decorative project. I never did get around to doing more >.<

My Pyro is sidelined for a wee while atm as I am looking for employment >.<

Hi Steve,
May I wish you very good luck in your search for employment. I am sure you will find something soon.
I am about to start the LS Irish Dragonette chessboard to go with the chess set I am making and I can't seem to find a piece of suitable Plywood. Have you any ideas ? It needs to be around 650mm x 450mm.

EDIT I purchased a piece of 6.5mm Malaysian Ply, 2440mm x 1220mm for the princely sum of £13.20.
This included the cutting of 2 pieces from it at the size I wanted.

hehe, sry not visited in a while Don. Sounds like a bargain to me. definately something to be said in buying full sheets. Not seen malaysian ply, you will have to let us know about it, ie hard/soft - light/dark. - knotty/clean etc. ;p

Hi Steve,
Any luck on the job front
I seem to have a huge amount of wood left over.
I have sanded the piece I am using to 600 grit.
I also sanded the practice piece and the piece I cut to do the Dragonette before tackling the large board.
The ply takes a very smooth finish at that grit and it is quite smooth when burning but it is a bit harder than the Birch faced ply from Great Art.
I don't get a lot of time at the moment but I will post some pics. when I can.

Thanks for the info Don. Sounds good to me in that it is quite hard and sands smooth (sometimes I prefer the softer, sometimes the harder so good to know).

No joy yet work-wise, still checking daily. Looking for something part-time and fairly local (part-time and longer distance travel expenses don't quite add up ) anything will do, say 20 hours a week max, driving but not multi-drop (7 years of that nearly saw me off Lol) or even shelf stacking, days. mornings, evenings or nights not fussed, warehouse, even caring.

They do come up now and again, just have to be patient then jump on them when they pop! hehe.
Put in for a few but no joy as yet.
