  • Advice On Veneer To Practice Pyrography On?

I see a cost effective way to practice pyrograpy would be to use veneer, any preference for iron on or stick on yourself type, with contact adhesive?. How easy is it to remove veneer from a plywood backer board to glue or iron on another sheet? Just had a quick look whats available on Ebay, I see a thickness of 0.6mm is available, is there an optimum thickness of veneer I should be using?
    Cheers.

    G'day Polly13,
Being a wood turner I get heaps of offcuts which I use.
I prefer Jacaranda $ Paulownia among others. Any light timber would do.
